Whiteflies are a common issue that can harm cucumber plants by sucking the sap from the leaves and weakening the plant. Whiteflies also spread viral diseases.

Preventive Measures

1. Place white glue boards or use light traps to control the population of whiteflies.

2. Regularly visit the field where cucumber plants are growing to keep an eye on the plant’s health.

3. Dissolve 50 grams of soap powder in 10 liters of water and spray it under the leaves 2-3 times a week.

4. Mix 5 cups of tobacco leaf powder with the soap powder mixture for better results.

5. Use approved pesticides only as a last resort. For example, mix well 0.5 ml of Imidacloprid or 0.25 ml of Dimethoid per liter of water and spray.

 

Caution

Do not eat or sell any vegetables within 15 days after spraying.
